Project Module: Smart Water Monitoring & Leak Detection

Objective/Focus: To develop a system to track water consumption, identify leaks in real-time, and provide data for proactive maintenance, thereby preventing costly water damage and reducing waste.

My Key Contributions (as Data Analyst Lead):

I designed the data ingestion process for water flow meters and leak detection sensors.

Crucially, I developed the back-end logic for the automated “Sensor Alert” system. This involved defining the data thresholds and orchestration rules that would trigger an email notification to the maintenance team when a leak was detected.

I created the “Water Report” and “Water Leak” dashboards to visualize consumption trends and provide a clear, actionable log of all active and resolved leaks.

Key Metrics & KPIs Handled:

Net Water Flow Accumulated (m³)

Daily/Monthly/Annual Water Usage

Leak Detected (Boolean/Status)

Total Active Leaks

Business Impact: The alerting system I architected shifted clients from a reactive to a proactive approach to maintenance, significantly reducing the risk of property damage and providing quantifiable water usage data for ESG reporting.
