Project Module: Continuous Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Monitoring

Objective/Focus: To create a continuous commissioning platform for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) by visualizing key environmental metrics, allowing building managers to ensure a healthy, safe, and productive environment for occupants.

My Key Contributions (as Data Analyst Lead):

  • I built the data pipelines to handle a wide variety of IAQ sensor data, including CO₂, PM2.5, TVOC, humidity, and temperature.
  • I defined the data models and business logic for an overall “IAQ Score,” a composite metric that provides an at-a-glance health assessment of a building zone. This included setting the “Danger,” “Warning,” and “Good” thresholds seen in the UI.
  • I developed the “IAQ Report” dashboard to visualize these complex metrics through time-series charts and color-coded treemaps, allowing for rapid identification of problem areas.

Business Impact: My work directly supported occupant health and well-being, a critical factor for increasing productivity and tenant satisfaction. It also enabled targeted HVAC adjustments, leading to significant energy savings.
